Ingredients:
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound top round steak cut into 1 inch cubes
1 medium red onion, half dice and half slice lengthwise
1 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granules
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 carrot
1/2 red bell pepper
4 sweet pepper seeded and cut half
2 tablespoon raisins
1 potato cut half lenghtwise and slice it 1/3 inch.
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon thousand island
Method:
Heat olive oil in deep skillet or pot on medium heat. Brown the beef. Then add onion and bell peppers. Stir for 3 minutes. Then add water, coffee granules, black pepper, cinnamon, potato and thousand island. Simmer for about 20 minutes covered or until beef slightly tender. Add raisins. Cook for another 5 minutes. No stirring needed. Serve warm with rice or noodle.
I use the Yellow Rice from Vigo. This rice is completely seasoned and the taste is superb.

ReplyDeleteYa, a pinch of coffee bitterness but flavorable. It came from healthy recipe book so it must play a role in keeping us healthy or alert?
