Fried Kue Teow and Fish Egg
I was happy to find the Asian store is selling fish eggs. I have been wanting to buy and cook some fish eggs. I like them lightly pan fry, or cook in curry, or in spicy gravy. Today's dinner is a simple kue teow and fish egg cooked in hot and spicy blend with petai (stinky beans).
The kue teow was fried simply with some shallots, garlic, hot peppers, soy sauce, fish sauce and bean sprouts.
I am using ready to use the Indo spices for the fish egg. I sauteed some yellow onion, and then add 1 packet of the Indo spices. Then add the fish egg and the stinky beans. Let it cook for about 5 minutes. Cover and turn the stove off.
