Cooked Cabbage

Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables. I can get a head of cabbage for a dollar at the produce market. I usually slice the cabbage and add some salad dressing as a simple meal. But today, I am cooking the cabbage until soft.

Ingredients:
1 small head cabbage
1 medium red onion
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cube vegetable seasoning
1/2 inch fresh ginger
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil

Method:
Slice ginger thinly.
Dice the onion.
Shred cabbage to bite size.
In a big pot, heat olive oil.
Sautee onion and gnger until onion is cooked.
Add water, vegetable seasoning cube, black pepper and salt.
Cook for another minute.
Add cabbage.
Cook for another 30 minutes or until cabbage tender.
