Rice Stick Noodle Soup

Growing up in Malaysia, I used to eat rice stick noodle a lot. Rice stick noodle also known popularly in Malaysia as Bihun or mee hoon . For this simple recipe I cook rice stick noodle in chicken broth. I also sprinkled a pinch of cayenne powder, white pepper powder, chopped garlic, salt and black pepper.
Garnish this dish with cucumber, romaine lettuce and cauliflower. Serve warm.

  2. This is my fave. My mom used to make them "dry" (not soupy) toss in with tons of veggies, seafood and a bit of vegetable stock.

    sepatutnya saya jumpa doktor hari ni..xtually dia bagi i about 6 month utk turun berat.. tp bukannya turun, lagi naik ada la.. itu yg try nak postpone appointment.. sure berdarah lepas ni telinga i kena lecture dgn doktor!!

    Anyway, i jumpa recipe bubur asyura east coast kat sini.. cam best je!

  8. Love this stuff. I also used to make something similar called bihon. I'm sure the noodles are exactly the same. Great texture.

  9. Hi Jude. How are you? Yes, rice sticks noodle and bihun is the same. The asian store here call it rice stick noodle and some call it angel hair rice noodle.
