Fried Fish and French Fries

Homemade fried fish with batter and homemade french fries.

Update upon request from inhar_ali:
Here is the dry flour I use to coat the fish.
This fish-fry seasoned flour is very tasty. I use it on my fried chicken too.

If you cannot find this brand, you can mix your own flour. My suggestion is as follow:

1/4 cup rice flour

1/4 cup corn meal

3 tablespoon all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder (if you like heat. if not you can use paprika)

Method:

Pat dry the fish after you wash it. I use zip loc bag to coat the flour. You could also coat the fish with the flour mix on a plate. Dust off excessive flour and fry the fish in deep fryer/wok/pan.

  3. Dhill, how about try grind some dried corn? Without cornmeal, I am not sure what to substitute. Because the flour do has that coarse texture to it.
