Drying Peppers

I bought a big basket of sweet peppers over the weekend from the farmer's market. I decided to dry these peppers. I talked to my co worker who then gave me an article from the web on how to dry peppers. The fisrt step I need to do is to gather some items to tie the peppers together.

These loads of sweet peppers is called Cubanella and they are very sweet. It cost me only $8 for a huge basket.
The first thing I did was to find an old metal hanger. I straight it out into long rod but leaving the hook intact. Then I cut some twine about 16 inches and tie 2 peppers together. Then I tie the third pepper to it.
I then tie the 3 peppers to the hanger starting at the bottom with the remaining string.
Keep on tying 3 peppers together and then tie them to the hanger. This peppers is really heavy. The last step I need to do is to hang this in my garage to dry.

What a great idea and it looks sooo pretty too. Idea: Why don't you sapu lacquer and hang in your kitchen as an ornament? Cantik lah.

  2. Oh I don't know that. How to sapu? Yes, it is pretty. But is too heavy to keep it in that shape for long.
