Fruits Cookie - Biskut Buah

I always love this fruit cookies since I was small.
This year I am using different fruits mixture.

Here I have raisins, dried cranberries, green cherries and red cherries.
I chopped all the fruits into smaller pieces.
I then mix it into the batter and form the dough. You can refer to my previous posts for the ingredients. There is Christmas Fruits Cookies and Biskut Buah - Fruity cookies
Mix everything well until dough is formed.
I use the mould use for putu kacang to shape my cookies.

I bake this in the oven at 350F for about 15 minutes.

  3. Vg, you must live near my house. I don't mind you come. The food taste better if we eat it with friends and relatives. Now, you reminded me of Nasi Dulang (rice on big tray). When I was small living with my grandmother, about 35 years ago. Ghee I am so old. The adult always let the kids eat 5 or 6 kids together on one big dulang (tray). Usually during gathering or kenduri. It was fun. My cousins and I each will have our own portion at the side of the huge tray. The rice and all the dishes are set in the center. But now, I don't see people do that anymore. I bet you my nieces and nephews would run away and ask for their own individual plate. Better yet they want the arcopal or arcoroc plate just like the adult use. Times just changed.

  4. Gert, I like dry fruits in cookies or cake but don't give me American fruits cake. It is as hard as a rock and taste so bitter and awful. The Malaysian/Singaporean or Indonesian version of fruits cake is so much better. Eh! You tahu tak buat kek kukus buah? Terasa nak makan kek tu pulak.

  6. Hi Zue

You are right...times have changed. Not only eating habits but kids attitude has also changed! I remember that when we were growing up, all my mum had to do was 'jeling' and both my brother and I will keep shut and 'disappear'. Now my children ask me why am I looking like that!? Ish.
