Bean Sprout (Homemade Taugeh)

I use Mung Bean. I layered paper towel and water until it cover the mung bean. Every day I make sure the mung bean is wet. After 4 days I can use the bean sprout in my cooking.





This is what happen if I let the beans sprout too long. As you can see the leaves started to form. I need to find a technique to make my bean sprout fat.

    Mung Bean tu kacang hijau ya..? Kat grocery orang putih ada ke jual kacang hijau..???

  2. Cat Cat, kalau grocery orang putih tu ada Spanish atau International aisle, then most probably you can find kacang hijau. Cuba tengok di tempat you.

  3. Eh Kak Zue, nak tanya sikit. Orang putih ini makan kacang hijau ke?? My hubby kalau kekacang ini kurang sikit except split peas soup. Nanti Cath cari kat FoodLion ya...

  4. CatCat, I don't know la if orang putih makan kacang hijau. So far tak nampak any recipe call for it dalam food channel.

  5. Kak Zue,good idea tanam bean sprout sendiri!!when I buy bean sprout the second day sudah hitam.I should ikut you tanam sendiri since I'm the only one who eat it.

  6. Zue, the bean sprout looks really healthy. I cooked the one you gave me and is really crunchy. I should follow you style to tanam. Like Beachlover I will never finish the one I bought because ia rosak the 2nd or 3rd day.

    i cook4fun, now my menu has bean sprout. They are very tasty and easy to grow.It makes my mee curry and asam laksa so delicious. Not to mention the kue teow. Yummy!
