Sambal kacang panjang



Gertrude taught me how to cook this. Actually, it was an honor to have her at my house. She is a good cook!

This dish is using the long beans(kacang panjang) from my garden. Gertrude use a tablespoon of crispy prawn sambal. She added onion, garlic and shrimp. She prinkles a teaspoon sugar and walla! The vegetable is delicious.

  4. PJ, Kalau you dekat boleh join kita. I like the kacang panjang that is skinny and taste sweeter. I tot if gemok, it will lose the flavor? I could be wrong.

  5. Zue, kacang panjang ada dua jenis. Satu kurus and really hijau and lagi satu gemuk sikit with lighter green. The gemuk one manis sikit and not as hard as the kurus one.

  6. I too, like the kurus type of kacang panjang. Hard to find in local grocery store but berlambak kat Asian store, kan?

  7. i sebenarnya suka berulam dgn kacang panjang sbb tu suka yg gemuk2. kalau kitorang masak, we'd pecahkan telur at the end. have u tried tht before?

    Cath, my kacang from the garden kurus. If I let it grow lama the seed pulak yang besar but not the meat on the kacang panjang.
    PJ, I pun suka ulam kacang panjang or kacang panjang dah rebus dalam rojak kacang. Emm...nak contact Angela la pulak...teringat dia masak gado-gado...yummy!
