  1. Hi Zuraida!

I somehow got onto your site.

I am probably too late to post this, but your homecooked meals look soooo good (and moreish) - much better than the extremely perfect/artistic/artificial looking creations floating around. I so much prefer your type of food. Great work on your creative ideas for meals!

I was wondering, because its hard buying fish here in Australia and I dont know much but I love fried fish (and steamed fresh), but what sort of fish do you usually use? and do you just fry it with some turmeric? for how long (about)?

  2. Samara, my favorite fishes are Croaker and Porgies if I want to deep fry them. They have lots of bone but very sweet. It is easy to know that your fry fish is cooked. When the skin turned brown. Fish doesn't take long to fry. Perhaps about 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Use medium heat.
Yes, I like to rub the fish with 1 tablespoon turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.
My husband like it if the fish is coated with flour. All I did was at spices in the flour and then coat the fish with the dry flour. I don't even use egg.
