Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Remember the first time I baked the pineapple upside down cake that turned into a disaster?
Well, I was given another chance to make it right. This time I am using a yellow cake mix that came from the box. The whole cake came out nicely but I think I prefer cake batter from scratch.
Anyway, to bake this upside down pineapple cake is pretty simple. Dissolve a cup of dark brown sugar with 4 tablespoon of pineapple juice.
Grease the pan.
Pour the brown sugar to the bottom of the pan. Spread it evenly.
Then arrange the pineapple ring.
Must put cherry in each center of the ring.
In a separate bowl, prepare the cake mix. Pour the batter to the pineapple.
Bake on 350 degree F for about 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Once cook, take another baking sheet which is wider than the cake pan. Put it on top of the cake and with both hand turn the baking pan upside down. Walla! Cake looks beautiful.
The taste was awesome. I took this cake to work and my co workers enjoyed it for breakfast.
