Apple Pie POM

This is my recipe for apple pie with pomegranate. The soft crunchy apple pie is perfect with sweet and juicy pomegranate.
It is easy to assemble and bake in the oven in no time.
Ingredients:
1 piece storebuck pie crust
2 gala apples (peeled, core and slice)
brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
Prepare the apple first. Peel the apple skin off. Core it and then slice it about 1/4 inch. Pour in the lemon juice to keep the apple from browning.
Turn the oven to 400 degree F.
I am using an oval 5 inches ceramic pie pan. Line up a pie crust at the bottom of the pie pan. Crimp the edges. Then layer the pie crust with the apple. Sprinkle brown sugar and the cinnamon sugar. Layer it again with apple. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon sugar. Keep doing this until apple fill 1/4 from the top. Add a layer of pomegranate seeds. Leave some for garnish to the end product.
Top the pie with another layer of apple. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon sugar. On the last layer, cut the pie crust into 3 strips. Then twist it and line it up at the top. Crimp the end to the edges of the pan.
Spray the pie with baking cooking oil. Dollup some butter. Turn the oven heat to 325 degree F. Bake this in the oven on 325 degree F for about 20 minutes or until crust brown. Let the pie cool down before serving. Sprinkle with left over pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!

  2. Zue, this recipe will be good for POM contest too but too bad we can only submit one. To Anon, you are rather rude. If you don't like what she wrote why are you still here at her blog?
