Winter is time for butternut squash. My friend gave me this squash. I just diced and boiled it, seasoned with salt and pepper. I added butter for creamy taste. It tasted so good. Exactly like labu(pumpkin). Next time I am thinking of cooking lemak cili api with this butternut squash.
I berbuka puasa with this butternut squash as side dish to fried chicken and a glass of strawberry milk. To get that crunchy fried chicken just use regular flour mix with some herb of your choice and pinch of salt. In hot oil, deep fry the chicken.
Peeled off the skin with a peeler.
Spoon out the seedling.
Boil in hot water.
