A few years back, I have tasted this delicious ground cherry fruits. So far, I have never seen it sell at any market near my area. I've found the seed sold online. So I bought a packet and grow about 8 plants. 3 of the plants died when the wind broke the top part. Luckily, the rest of the plants survived.
The plants need a pair to produce abundance fruits. I was excited when I found them ripe and fell on the ground. There was no worm or any bug feasting on the fruits. Earlier of the season, I thought the plants I had was the purple tomatillo. I was wrong. They are the sweet ground cherry plants. I am happy with this plants. I cannot wait to pick more. The husk is not edible. The cherry inside is smooth and yellow color. Delicious! Share
